Sir Michael Snyder has extensive experience of Accountancy, Professional Services and the City of London. He has been Chairman of the Professional and Business Services Group since its inception in 2010. The Group advises the Government on all issues relating to Professional and Business Services which includes Law, Accountancy, Marketing, HR, Recruitment, Architecture, Surveying and other services.

He is a Common Councilman of the City of London Corporation and was until April 2008 Chairman of its Policy and Resources Committee, effectively the leader, with responsibilities including policy direction, relations with national, regional and local Government, European Union and City businesses, Economic Development and allocation of resources.

Sir Michael is a Chartered Accountant and has been Senior Partner of Kingston Smith since 1990. He is also Chairman of the Association of Practising Accountants, a body that represents the interests of medium sized accountancy firms.
